Recipients - Who will receive the emails I send from Notion?

You can think of Slap’s behaviour as being equivalent to a Reply all in your mailbox.

When a new email is synced with Notion, the Contact email(s) property of your Notion page is updated to contain all the recipients of that email.

(Psst: if it’s not the case yet, think of changing the Contact email(s) property from Email to Text, more info here).

When replying from Notion, the recipients of your email will be the email address(es) listed in the Contact email(s) property of your Notion page.

• The recipient will be in the To:
  • If the recipient was already in the To: in the last email of the thread
  • If the recipient was manually added in the Contact email(s) property
• The recipient will be in Cc:
  • If the recipient was already in the Cc: in the last email of the thread

To change the recipient(s), simply edit the Contact email(s) property of your Notion page.

For multiple recipients, separate the email addresses with commas.

Example 1 - I receive an email

I receive the following email:

• From: Email 1
• To: Me + Email 2
• Cc: Email 3 + Email 4

The Contact Email(s) property of the Notion page will be updated:

• Contact Email(s) = Email 1, Email 2, Email 3, Email 4

When sending an email from Notion, the email will be sent with the following recipients:

• To: Email 1 + Email 2
• Cc: Email 3 + Email 4

Example 2 - I send an email from my mailbox

I send the following email:

• From: Me
• To: Email 1 + Email 2
• Cc: Email 3 + Email 4

The Contact Email(s) property of the Notion page will be updated:

• Contact Email(s) = Email 1, Email 2, Email 3, Email 4

When sending an email from Notion, the email will be sent with the following recipients:

• To: Email 1 + Email 2
• Cc: Email 3 + Email 4
