Attachments
Receive an attachment
When you receive an email containing attachments (images, videos, PDFs, etc.), those attachments will be accessible through links in the comments.
- If the attachment is inline, it will appear in its correct position within the email.
- Otherwise, it will be placed at the end of the comment.
When you open an attachment, we first verify that you should have access to that attachment. If you’re not logged into Slap, we’ll prompt you to do so. This ensures your attachments are securely stored and accessible only to authorized users.
If you encounter an error while trying to open an attachment, it likely means you lack the necessary access rights. In this case, make sure you’re logged into Slap with a user account that’s listed in the workspace’s user list on Slap. For more information about user management, click here.
Send an attachment
Unfortunately, you can’t yet send attachments from Notion. This is due to some limitations of the Notion API and we hope this will evolve soon.
In the meantime, you have two options:
- Store the attachment elsewhere (e.g. Google Drive) and share the link to the attachment.
- Open the email in your mailbox (see here how to add a quick link to your mailbox) and send the email with attachment from there (it will be synced with your Notion ticket).
Attention needed
Be careful, if you add an attachment on the Notion comment, it won’t be sent!
